About
Timothy Teruo Watters, artist, writer, yogi, and grandson to artist Teruo Iyama, was born in Santa Rosa, CA. His artwork has been featured in galleries from Hawaii to Utah to Texas, and a sacred project (a volume of nineteen different translations of Japji Sahib) consisting exclusively of his illustrations resides in the museum at the Golden Temple in Amritsar, India.
His journey of self-exploration and meditation has brought him all over the world from Mount Shasta to Chiang Mai to Anandpur Sahib. He has written and illustrated a children’s book, When Piglets Fly, which features sixty-three watercolor illustrations.
Timothy's expressive work draws inspiration from Eastern aesthetic and philosophy, Mysticism, Impressionism, and Ukiyo-e. Whether writing adventurous tales, watercoloring, or painting in oils, Timothy is always reimagining by creating and blending the old with the new.
